About Oak and Holly

Hi, my name is Rebecca, welcome to Oak and Holly, a cosy little nook where candles embody the essence of comfort and transform your home into a haven of tranquility.

My journey began in the corner of my kitchen, where I discovered my passion for candles as a delightful hobby. As a devoted mother and homemaker, candles have always held a special place in my heart. If I had to choose a single word to describe them, it would undoubtedly be "cosy." The gentle flicker of mesmerising flames has an innate power to soothe my soul, especially when combined with captivating scents. There's nothing quite like filling your home with seasonal fragrances that celebrate the passage of time, marking the wonderful days or whisking you away to distant places on those dreary ones.

My desire to capture that indescribable cosiness led me to embark on a mission to create my own candles. But there was more to it than just crafting delightful scents. I wanted to ensure that every aspect of my candles embraced an eco-friendly ethos, both for the environment and our family home. That's why I carefully chose Ecococo wax as the foundation for all my creations. Its sustainability and quality aligned perfectly with my vision. And let's not forget those vintage-style jam jars that exude a nostalgic charm, ready to be repurposed after a good cleaning if you so choose. But the cherry on top, or rather, the crackling ember within, is the wooden wick. It's a gentle reminder of a cosy fireplace, adding a touch of enchantment to your surroundings. With an array of fragrances to suit every mood, my first candle collection came to life.

Why Oak and Holly, you may wonder? These age-old symbols represent the cycle of life throughout the entire year. Candles, much like these enduring trees, grace our lives in every season. During the cold winter days, they provide us with light and comfort as we gather with family or curl up under a cosy blanket with a good book. When summer arrives, they join us for delightful dinners with loved ones, adorning our tables, or accompany us in the garden during barbecues and joyful gatherings. And let's not forget the indispensable role they play in setting the mood for a romantic dinner.

With the perfect name in place, Oak and Holly was born. As for our adorable squirrel mascot, they are my delightful neighbours, bringing a daily dose of joy to my life.
